New Delhi : The four-day Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav (BVM) 2026, jointly organized by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) at Bharat Mandapam, concluded on a historic note, firmly establishing itself as one of India’s largest trade and business gatherings dedicated to advancing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of
“Vocal for Local, Local to Global and Atmanirbhar Bharat.” CAIT Secretary General and MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal said that the Mahotsav witnessed an overwhelming response with over 1.8 lakh visitors, including traders, manufacturers, exporters, startups, investors, policymakers, business leaders, consumers, and overseas buyers. The extensive business interactions, buyer-seller meetings, sourcing engagements, and partnership discussions held during the event have generated trade opportunities exceeding ₹5,000 crore, many of which are expected to convert into concrete business deals in the coming months. He further said that a key highlight of BVM 2026 was its strong global participation, with 347 international delegates from 23 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America. The delegates explored sourcing opportunities, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, technology collaborations, contract manufacturing, and long-term trade arrangements with Indian enterprises, reflecting growing global confidence in India as a preferred manufacturing and supply-chain destination. CAIT National President Shri C Bhartia said that the event also witnessed the presence of more than 20 leading brand representatives and global buying houses, including , Primark Group, Reliance Retail, Triburg, Impulse, and New Times Group, which held extensive meetings with exhibitors from textiles, fashion, agriculture, lifestyle, handicrafts, FMCG, and manufacturing sectors, opening new avenues for exports and global market access.
He further said that BVM showcased India’s capabilities across a wide spectrum of sectors including agriculture and food processing, FMCG, organic products, textiles and apparel, handicrafts, leather and footwear, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, electronics, renewable energy, building materials, automotive components, logistics, digital solutions, retail, e-commerce, tourism, hospitality, and MSME manufacturing. Shri Khandelwal informed that CAITs new initiate titled as “The Bharat Innovation & Startup Exchange (BISE)” emerged as a major attraction with 150+ startup pitch sessions, 8 panel discussions, 35 eminent experts, and participation of over 50 investors having an average investment capacity of ₹500 crore, creating valuable opportunities for innovation, funding, and entrepreneurship. CAIT National Chairman Shri Brijmohan Agrawal said that adding further value to the event, BVM hosted 18 knowledge sessions, 2 country dialogues, and 36 I-Talks, providing a platform for discussions on trade, technology, innovation, investment, exports, and economic growth. The Mahotsav also witnessed participation from more than 150 NRIs, strengthening global business linkages and engagement with the Indian diaspora. Shri Agarwal said that supported by organizations such as Ideas for Ability Expo, PIOCCI, and Rotary International District 3011, the Mahotsav successfully integrated business, innovation, social inclusion, and international cooperation under one roof.
