on Sunday. The delegation, led by SMA President Kishan (Guddu) Agrawal and Hon. Secretary Hussain N. Ajani, submitted a detailed representation requesting that the Sitabuldi Main Road, already declared a No Hawking Zone by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) be strictly maintained as such, ensuring that no illegal hawkers are allowed to squat or disrupt the area’s law and order situation. The Association highlighted that with the Diwali and wedding season ahead, every shopkeeper has already made their business preparations and purchases and any disturbance by Hawkers at this stage would cause major inconvenience and losses in the city’s prime commercial zone. During the meeting, Shri Vicky Kukreja personally accompanied the delegation and strongly supported the Association’s plea before the Hon’ble Chief Minister. His proactive role, consistent handholding of the Sitabuldi shopkeepers, and continued guidance were highly appreciated by the Association. Shri Kukreja’s timely intervention and firm advocacy reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the interests of the business community across Maharashtra.

Expressing gratitude, Hon. Secretary Hussain Ajani thanked CM Fadnavis Saheb for his kind attention and positive assurance. He also appreciated NMC Commissioner Shri Abhijeet Chaudhari and Police Commissioner Shri Ravinder Singal for their commendable implementation of the Town Vending Committee’s orders, which have helped restore order and discipline in Sitabuldi. The delegation comprised Kishan (Guddu) Agrawal (President), Hussain N. Ajani (Hon. Secretary), Arjun Bhojwani, Kisan Gangwani, Jagdish Arora, and Kailash Chabariya. Following the meeting, the Association extended heartfelt thanks to Hon’ble Chief Minister Devendraji Fadnavis Saheb for his swift response and assurance to address the long-standing concerns of Sitabuldi traders. The Association stated that the CM’s assurance has brought renewed confidence among traders and reaffirmed their trust in the state’s commitment to maintaining a fair and lawful trading environment. Earlier Representation to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Earlier, the Sitabuldi Merchants Association had also met Union Transport Minister and Nagpur MP Shri Nitin Gadkari during his Janata Darbar, requesting his intervention to ensure strict action against illegal hawkers attempting to return to the banned stretch of Sitabuldi Main Road. The traders pointed out that despite the civic body’s declaration of Sitabuldi as a No Hawking Zone, unauthorized vendors continue to cause obstruction and unfair competition, often emboldened by political backing. The issue has since become a major civic concern, with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s enforcement squad and city police working round-the-clock to ensure compliance. With the combined support of the state leadership and local administration, the Sitabuldi Merchants Association expressed optimism that Sitabuldi Main Road will continue to remain organized, accessible, and free from unlawful Squating of Hawkers.
